Having an idea of where price might reaction from is not enough. You should have a plan in place beforehand.
Depending on price (you can use ATR indicator for this), it's important you know whether you should enter/exit with limit or market orders. Where your idea is invalidated and how long you should let price run

Similar outlook as to BTC.
Price still within a range until something significant develops. If we get a sweep of 2600s it's a good buy for mean reversion or to take out the monthly highs. Alternatively if $3400s come first, I'm a seller towards the mean

Entry Trigger I love:
1. Defined range/obvious level
2. Violent move into the level, can be sweep or simple retest
3. Open Interest not elevated. Longs/shorts already taken out
Enter with stop loss below the lows, target origin of dump. Simple, effective, unemotional

Performance Comparison in 2025:
Silver: +128%
Platinum: +117%
Gold: +64%
Copper: +34%
Lithium: +30%
Bitcoin: -11%
Ethereum: -17%
Think a lot of the sell pressure now is from EOY tax loss harvesting.

Still within the range we defined
Just trading the range, currently in a 91k short but not too optimistic about the LTF stuff think we can retrace further but in any case will be out by Sunday if we don't have any volatility by the Asia session ends

With time and sufficient journalling. You can point out towards the set of habits/emotions you feel while executing on the trades.
At every point there's so many refinements to made but after years of experience and seeing people trade in real time, if I had to mention most common habits from best to worst it would be following:

Often people on here mention stuff like having "strict routine" in place, but nobody ever mentions why and what should be included in such routine.
By routine, I don't mean "cold shower" in the morning, but stuff that actually moves the needle for you

Edge is thrown around a lot by people who don't understand what it mean
It is rarely about your technical abilities, that is the easy part. Once you have a basic system, it is about refinement, what can youimprove? How well do you execute on your ideas?

- We held the value built between 22nd-27th Nov
- Strong reaction of the lows with OI already being reset
- Back to origin of the move and the HVN we broke down from
- Looking for longs to develop on a reclaim. Treating $85-92k as a range until proven otherwise
- Reclaim of the upper bound of this range would also result in a reclaim of multiple mid-timeframe trend indicators but until we do so we remain range bound

Nothing significant as of now, even after -52% move from the highs, the chart doesn't scream buys as of now.
If you're looking to accumulate for long term, can look to scale orders in the green zone marked on chart for some quick bounce
