Crypto Political Action Committee Fairshake scores first victory in the 2026 U.S. Congressional primaries

PANews, March 5 – According to CoinDesk, the political action committee Fairshake in the crypto industry has achieved an initial victory in the first round of the 2026 U.S. Congressional midterm primaries. Several pro-crypto candidates supported by Fairshake won in Tuesday’s primaries, including Republican Jessica Steinmann, who supported Trump and won the Texas 8th District Republican primary with nearly 70% of the vote, and House Financial Services Committee Chairman French Hill, who received over $400,000 in ad support and easily won with 77% of the vote.

A key effort by Fairshake in this primary was to try to eliminate crypto critics, including Texas Democratic Congressman Al Green. In the redrawn 18th District, Green trailed blockchain supporter Christian Menefee in the primary. Since neither candidate received more than half the votes, a runoff will be held.
