X social media is preparing to launch a new feature called Starterpacks, helping new users quickly follow curated lists of accounts based on interests such as cryptocurrency, technology, finance, fashion, or politics. According to Product Director Nikita Bier, this tool will be rolled out in the coming weeks after months of selecting over 1,000 interest categories and representative accounts worldwide.
Starterpacks aim to address one of X’s biggest challenges: helping new users find relevant content instead of just viewing the main news feed. Bier believes that “the magic of X” lies in niche communities, but users often spend years building a quality timeline themselves.
This move comes amid reports that engagement within the Crypto community on X is declining. Previously, Bluesky and Threads also launched similar “Starter Pack” features to help new users get acquainted with the platform.
