Before I was active on twitter, I was in a small private group of 10 or so link marines.
There was this one mysterious guy I never met who was really tied in with politics, had stories about billionaires, prime ministers etc. No idea if BS but he did have an oddly high global event forecast hit rate. Still no clue who he was.
Anyway, when COVID hit, I remember him right away saying that it just accelerated BTC adoption by 10 years. The prescience of that statement stuck with me and I still think about it sometimes.
Kinda feels like Trump going after Powell is another one of those moments where

Whatever your stance on the Powell news, the reasonable conclusion is buy Bitcoin.
You side with Trump? Great, buy the currency he platformed on and actively endorses, Bitcoin.
You side against Trump? Great, buy the currency he can't control by bullying the fed, Bitcoin.

Most of the time when someone points out asset A doing better than asset B it's just a lead/lag situation.
But I do think gold and BTC up in tandem on the Powell news while ES is down, is notable.

I hate reddit more every day man, I legit can't even ask a question there any more without a mod deleting it. It just keeps getting worse.

So much of investing comes down to simply having taste and knowing what people like.
Every car I've ever bought has gone up in value even though 99% of cars depreciate. Strategy? Nah, I just buy cool cars that I like. The crazy part is that this works in all markets.
-Buy a house cause it's architecturally pretty and has a good view
-Buy a memecoin cause it's funny/got people talking
-Start a business cause you think the product/service is fun/useful
-Buy some stock because you like their new products
-Buy a lego set you always wanted as a kid
-Buy some gold coins cause they're shiny
-Buy a wa
