Attention doesn’t matter as much as where people think attention will go. Bunch of big memes or trends that never had a coin run bc ppl do not expect attention to stay there or grow there. Tracking where the puck has been can be helpful but being able to know where it is going to go is invaluable.
People were able to compound gains on BTC bc of the volatility across many years. Now people just cry and complain about volatility in majors and memes. I do not believe memes will ever fade into irrelevance. If they do not, you should be looking to bid and hold memes that are bottomed out and that are still/will still be relevant as time goes on. Ppl were calling btc dead for years. Some were correct for a short time and others took advantage of the cheap prices and made money. I see a lot of people calling for newer coins to “do what $Troll did!” or people saying “this is the next $Troll!” There is no next Troll. It’s peculiar that many of the people saying these things never actually owned $Troll, and definitely didn’t bull post it. There is no meme on the internet that is as far reaching as $Troll. There is no meme on the internet that encourages action like $Troll(bc it’s a verb). There is no meme known globally as $Troll is(bar Pepe MAYBE). There is no community as stout as the $Troll community(~49k holders). You can keep searching for beta plays. You can keep
I have always been anti tattoos. Tats used to be worn by actual “tough guys” because they at minimum had to go against society a bit and acknowledge that they may be looked down upon. When you remove the societal stigma around them you get people getting tats simply because they can. They want the attention that goes along with getting tatted but don’t actually want the tats. It will once again become high status to not have tattoos and it already has a bit.
