the data layer is everything. doesn't matter how clean your logic is if the source is trash or locked behind a paywall.
for my onchain tracking bot, I'm using @GeckoTerminal free public API. yeah you know I'm in a partnership with them but I'm genuinely a real user too.
few weeks ago I was trying to build myself a simple onchain tracker. nothing fancy. just wanted alerts when a token got smart money aped, volume spike.
most places either don't have it, or they charge you, or the API is some half-broken thing you have to jump through hoops to access.
