On July 16, Jinshi Data reported that Omdia’s latest research shows that the total shipment of XR displays in 2024 will remain stable compared to 2023, and the shipment of near-eye displays will also remain at 17.2 million pieces. However, Vision Pro significantly increases the market share of silicon-based organic light-emitting diode (OLEDoS) displays. Kimi Lin, a senior analyst at Omdia Display Research, said, ‘With continuous advancements in display, optical, and other component technologies, Omdia is optimistic about the long-term outlook. It is expected that the shipment of near-eye displays will rise rapidly starting from 2027 and reach 92.9 million pieces by 2030.’
