China’s Zhuoyide launches the first fully bionic human, Moya, featuring realistic skin and bones, with body temperature maintained between 32 and 36 degrees Celsius. The product is positioned for medical companionship and social interaction, with an expected release in 2026 and a price of approximately $173,000.

Chinese AI company releases Moya, claiming to be the first fully bionic human

Chinese robotics company Zhuoyide (DroidUp) announced a new product, “Moya,” at the end of January this year, claiming to be the world’s first fully bionic robot, boasting realistic movements and appearance.

While many companies are currently working on mass-producing AI robots capable of folding clothes, washing dishes, and other household chores, some high-end models have movements so realistic that developers must reveal internal structures during demonstrations to prove they are not human impersonators.

In a time when most robots still have obvious mechanical appearances, Zhuoyide aims to make the new product as close to humans in appearance and touch as possible, even incorporating a body temperature simulation feature.

Moya has built-in bones and realistic skin, approaching human visual and tactile sensations

According to Dexerto, Moya is approximately 165 cm tall and weighs about 31 kg. The biggest technological breakthrough of the product is its highly customizable modular design, allowing users to replace parts and adjust the robot’s gender features, body shape, and hairstyle.

To break away from the traditional “steel figure” image of humanoid robots, Zhuoyide added a muscle-like filling layer beneath Moya’s silicone skin and even constructed a rib-like structure to make its touch feel more like a real human.

In terms of perception systems, Moya’s eyeballs are embedded with cameras capable of tracking the surrounding environment and interacting with people. It also has a built-in heating system that can maintain body temperature between 32 and 36 degrees Celsius, simulating real human physiological heat.

Zhuoyide founder Li Qingdu told Shanghai Eye:

“Robots that truly serve human life should have warmth, be able to connect with people like living beings, which is fundamentally different from cold metal machinery.”

Based on this philosophy, Zhuoyide positions Moya as a “social companion,” with plans to promote it in the healthcare field to provide services for those in need of care or emotional support.

The high-end bionic robot Moya is quite expensive, with an estimated price of about $173,000 (roughly NT$5.5 million), and is scheduled to be officially launched in the second half of 2026.

Chinese robotics companies continue to develop the bionic human industry. Earlier, another Shanghai startup, Agibot Innovations, set a Guinness World Record in 2025 by walking 100 kilometers unaided with its humanoid robot.

In addition to high-end robots, China is also focusing on developing sex robots

Beyond companionship and household tasks, Chinese robotics companies are also actively developing sex robots.

In 2025, Shenzhen-based Starpery Technology is aggressively integrating AI technology into the sex robot industry. CEO Evan Lee revealed in an interview that they are developing a large language model (LLM) specifically for their robots to enable voice and physical interaction with users.

They had already launched Heat System 3.0 in 2023, using graphene materials to allow the sex robots to heat up within 30 minutes, with an automatic power-off safety mechanism.

Meanwhile, Guangdong silicone doll manufacturer WMdoll introduced ChatGPT models into their AI silicone doll “MetaBox” series in 2024, transforming traditional silicone dolls into talking AI companions.

This demonstrates that Chinese robot manufacturers, whether targeting medical companionship or adult interaction markets, regard body temperature simulation and AI emotional interaction as the core of next-generation technological competition.
