Ultimately, he concludes a bear market followed by a crash and a 2026 recession.

A reputed crypto expert and analyst, Virtual Bacon, goes on to share a long and detailed video that dives deep into the current state of the crypto market and the many bullish signals that promise a bullish future ahead. In detail, the reputed crypto analyst highlights several macro tailwinds and promises a bright path ahead for BTC and altcoins. Are we still in a crypto bull market for Bitcoin and altcoins? This analyst believes we are.

Reputed Crypto Analyst Highlights Several Macro Tailwinds

Reputed crypto analyst and expert, Virtual Bacon shares a details video with deep insights on why he believes Bitcoin and altcoins are still in a bear market. He begins his video by stating that there are several macro tailwinds that all point to a promising surge in prices for Bitcoin and altcoins ahead. In particular, the analyst believes that since there was no blow-up top or an altseason so far, the major upturn is still on its way

This video thus goes on to highlight the many bullish factors that will not only bring a new ATH for BTC, but also lead to a glorious altseason in the coming months. This view completely debunks the bear market start theory, based on the 4-year bull cycle. In fact, this point of view supports Raoul Pal’s 5-year supercycle expectations, meaning new ATH prices will arrive in 2026

As we can see from the video above, the expert covers what he expects to happen to Bitcoin and Altcoins in the short to mid-term as we head into 2026. He also goes on to share if and when he will be a buyer or seller in the coming year, and at what levels. First, he mentions that Bitcoin and altcoins are being decoupled. Then he expects a short bear market where the price of BTC will fall to $60,000 - $70,000.

Bright Path Ahead for BTC and Altcoins

The video mainly focuses on altcoin and the wait for altseason. Here, he concludes that there will not be an extended altseason here on out, instead, he expects the altcoin market to see short price bursts going forth. Having concluded that altcoins are no longer following Bitcoin’s path, he then goes into breaking down the Bitcoin vs altcoin liquidity cycle, marking liquidity to be the core reason for this decoupling

The expert then concludes that Bitcoin will see more upside after the correction phase ends based on M2 liquidity alone. Then, he marks the major indicators to watch that will signal altcoin price pumps. These indicators include ISM, business cycle, and QE liquidity alone. Ultimately, the analyst recommends holding 80% of one’s portfolio in Bitcoin (BTC) and the remaining 20% to trade in altcoins dedicatedly.

BTC 15-minute chart slightly down 0.57%: leveraged long positions passively cut risk and macro sentiment disturbances drive volatility

2026-04-12 12:45 to 13:00 (UTC), the BTC price range was 71081.7 to 71493.2 USDT, with an amplitude of 0.58%. Within 15 minutes, the return recorded was -0.57%. During the period of unusual activity, market volatility increased somewhat, risk sentiment warmed up, and overall attention rose; however, there was no extreme surge in volume or a sudden drop in liquidity. The main driver behind this unusual activity is that, under the leverage structure, long positions were reduced passively. Recently, the funding rate for perpetual contracts turned from negative to positive. Leverage among longs in the market accumulated; the price dipped slightly, triggering liquidations of some leveraged long positions and sell orders for position closures, resulting in

Bitcoin long-term holdings increased to 12.4 million coins, and the 30-day change has remained positive.

CryptoQuant analyst Darkfost says the Bitcoin market is entering an early stabilization phase, with stronger long-term holding behavior. The amount of BTC held for more than a year has increased, and investors are more inclined to hold than to distribute. This suggests the market is transitioning toward long-term conviction; the current trend is viewed as an early stability signal, but it needs longer-term confirmation.
