Hamas claims to have lost contact with a dual national of the United States and Israel who was detained.

Jin10 reported on April 16 that on the 15th local time, a spokesperson for the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, an armed faction under the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), stated that they lost contact with the group guarding the detained individual Aidan Alexander, who holds dual citizenship of the U.S. and Israel, following an airstrike by the Israeli military at the location of the detained individual. The statement mentioned that the Qassam Brigades are working to re-establish contact with the guards.
