Meteora Claims Ben Chow’s Account Was Hacked Meteora Labs co-founder Ben Chow found himself at the center of controversy after his X account posted allegations against the founders of several memecoins. Shortly after the post went live, Meteora announced that Chow’s account had been compromised by hackers. 📉 The controversial tweet reignited the debate surrounding the launch of memecoins Libra (LIBRA), Melania Meme (MELANIA), and Official Trump (TRUMP).

📉 Ultimately, the incident led to Chow’s resignation from Meteora. Leaked WhatsApp Messages and Allegations of Memecoin Manipulation On March 11, a post on Chow’s X account included an “official statement” announcing his departure from Meteora. 🔹 The post accused DeFiTuna founders Vlad Pozniakov and Dhirka of creating various memecoin projects, including MELANIA, Mates (MATES), and the Raydium launch, solely for financial gain.

🔹 Leaked WhatsApp conversations allegedly between Hayden Davis (CEO of Kelsier Ventures), Gideon Davis (COO of Kelsier Ventures), and Pozniakov suggested that their goal was to extract as much money as possible from the projects. 💬 One of the leaked messages reportedly read:

“Yeah, guys, we’re trying to squeeze as much as possible out of this.” 📌 The authenticity of these conversations has not been verified.

Meteora Denounces the Tweet as Fraudulent and Urges Caution Following the post, Meteora Labs declared on its official X account that the tweet was fraudulent and that Chow’s account had been hacked. 🔹 The company warned users not to click on any suspicious links linked to the incident.

🔹 Meteora’s official X account was also allegedly compromised, which the new CEO Zen confirmed:

“It’s true that someone briefly gained access to our Meteora X account. We have since reset it and are now verifying everything.” 📢 Meteora urged investors to remain cautious and avoid interacting with any suspicious links to prevent financial losses. Memecoin Speculation Sparks Political Turmoil in Argentina The memecoin controversy hasn’t just shaken the crypto space—it has also disrupted Argentine politics. Argentine President Javier Milei is facing calls for impeachment after publicly endorsing the Libra (LIBRA) token, which launched on the Solana blockchain. 📈 Milei’s endorsement caused LIBRA’s price to skyrocket from nearly zero to $5, briefly reaching a market capitalization of $4 billion.

📉 However, a massive sell-off followed, causing LIBRA’s value to plummet and wiping out millions of dollars in investor funds. 🔹 Milei denied accusations of a “rug pull”, stating that he regularly promotes business projects as part of his free-market philosophy.

🔹 His support for KIP, the developer behind LIBRA, was reportedly part of a broader political agenda. What’s Next? 📊 The crypto world remains on edge, waiting to see whether Chow’s account was indeed hacked or if this was a genuine exposé of alleged foul play in the memecoin sector.

📢 What do you think? Was Chow’s account truly hacked, or is his claim about the “parasitic” nature of memecoins legitimate?
