Recently, I’ve been a bit obsessed with earning testnet points.
It was originally just to practice and get a feel for it, but gradually I started to subconsciously think, "There will be rewards later on..."
Once that expectation appears, it’s easy to get more competitive and reluctant to stop.
My stop-loss is pretty simple: set a limit for myself, like only spending a little during lunch break and a bit at night, and if I go over, I just give up;
Another thing is to review once a week. If I find the tasks are just repetitive points and I’m not learning anything new, I stop and don’t chase after it anymore.
And now, the on-chain data tools and tagging systems are also criticized for being laggy or misleading.
Honestly, you might think you’re a “real user,” but you could just be lumped into a certain tag with a one-size-fits-all approach.
Anyway, I prefer to treat it as a habit-building exercise: get familiar with the process, observe interactions, and casually keep track of activity levels.
Don’t treat points like an advance on salary, or it’ll mess with your mindset.
That’s all for now.
