Market maker Optiver has made equity investments in the cryptocurrency and AI venture capital fund Eden Block.
On April 21, Bloomberg reported that Dutch market maker Optiver has made an equity investment in the crypto and AI venture fund Eden Block to gain exposure to early-stage AI and digital asset companies.
Optiver is not currently active in the crypto market but has previously made strategic investments in blockchain technology company Digital Asset Holdings.
An Optiver executive stated that digital assets are a direction the company is closely monitoring, and the intersection of AI and digital assets is particularly worth paying attention to.
Eden Block’s founder said that crypto and AI are two of the most transformative technologies in the world today, and their integration will impact the market at an unexpectedly rapid pace.
