According to the Financial Times of the UK, the cryptocurrency and AI industries combined raised about $250 million over the past year to support congressional candidates in this year’s November U.S. midterm elections. A16z co-founders Marc Andreessen and Ben Horowitz jointly donated $25 million to the super PAC Leading The Future in February this year, which supports AI-friendly candidates.
