According to Global Times, Saudi Arabia urgently sent a message to the United States: don’t blockade the Strait of Hormuz; Iran may retaliate in the Red Sea. Riyadh is worried that Tehran may order a blockade of the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, which would choke the lifeline of Saudi Arabia’s oil exports from the Red Sea. Although export shipments have been successfully restored to pre-war levels through the desert pipeline, the Houthis control the coastline along the Bab el-Mandeb Strait; once activated by Iran, Saudi oil tankers will still be unable to move an inch.

Iran has already stated that the Bab el-Mandeb Strait is as important as the Strait of Hormuz. If the White House repeats its foolish mistake, global energy lifelines will be cut off all at once. Trump has just ordered a comprehensive blockade of Iranian ports, and Tehran fired back that any military intervention will fail. $BTC $ETH $XAUT ‌ ‌
