Today, the biggest surprise at CITY WALK was discovering that the art museum is exhibiting Jia Wei's "Like Flowers · Mountains and Seas" art exhibition.

The last time I mentioned Jia Wei was during a conversation between him and Tuo Buhua, where I saw a person reborn through suffering, telling us what impermanence is and what freedom after experiencing impermanence means.
So seeing his works, and truly seeing the "like flowers" within his art, my heart was still shaken.
That feeling is like re-watching that conversation, but in a different language.
This time, he used colors, structure, and emotions.
You will find that the "like flowers" in his paintings always occupy a very subtle position:
On one side is danger: huge teeth, open mouths, structures like abysses;
On the other side is lightness: she is dancing, flying, even somewhat ignoring these dangers.
This tension is actually quite profound.
Many artists depict confrontation by emphasizing conflict, tearing, or even destruction;
But Jia Wei does not.
He is more like saying: danger has always been there, but people can choose not to respond with fear.
The "like flowers" are always stable, and Jia Wei is telling us that the world is flowing and disordered, but people can generate order from within.
So I really like what Jia Wei wrote in his introduction:
One's "Like Flowers · Mountains and Seas" — true order is never given from the outside, but grows from the heart.
These mountains and seas, those lively spirits, are just trying to tell you that the most powerful existence always carries the clarity of first encountering the world.
These mountains and seas, these gaping mouths, these lively spirits seem to be repeatedly reminding us of one thing:
The world has never become simpler; it's just whether you have the ability to live more lightly within it.
Good night, 🌙
