For the ceasefire agreement mediated by a third party between the US and Iran, today both sides’ responses are relatively restrained.

Trump’s response: The protocol for a ceasefire for 45 days is an option.
Iran’s response: They are carefully considering the latest proposal put forward by the other side.
Even early on, what was leaked was the US’s staunch British ally—after all, the other side belongs to the Commonwealth member states, and for a long time has maintained good relationships;
The other side is also eager to show its mediation skills to Saudi Arabia, the big sponsor—after all, recently Saudi Arabia has even expressed dissatisfaction with the other side on multiple fronts. If they don’t do something, the sponsor will be the one to lose;
Saudi Arabia and the UAE are basically the biggest victims this time—neither side is pleased, and oil revenues have even fallen sharply!
Plus, after last year’s India-Pakistan conflict, Pakistan’s international influence took a leap upward. Pakistan is also an important ally of the US, and Pakistan indeed has the realistic conditions to play the role of a good go-between!
Negotiations? Definitely not a decisive one-and-done! If the terms can’t be negotiated well, it means they haven’t fought enough yet—once they’ve fought enough, the terms can naturally be talked through!
Today’s stance from both sides is no longer the sharp, tense back-and-forth responses from two weeks ago and one week ago, but rather expressions of each other’s demands and dissatisfaction with the other side’s conditions—this is a good start!
So the US-Iran conflict will definitely come to an end. The only variable is actually never the US and Iran, but rather Israel.
As the news gains momentum, along with supporting evidence from the Strait of Hormuz: On April 6, according to the latest report, the transit volume through the Strait of Hormuz has risen to the highest level since the beginning of the Middle East war outbreak, because more countries have reached security transit agreements with Iran. Over the weekend, a total of 21 ships passed through this waterway, which is the highest two-day total since the transit volume began to decline in early March. #美伊谈判最新进展
