Electric kettles are used every day, so choosing the right one can be a dilemma. Recently, I tried various models and realized that the balance between boiling speed and heat retention is really important.
Personally, I recommend the Tiger MagicBottle Steamless VE Electric Thermos series. The 2.2L model is especially convenient because it supports both electric and air-powered hot water supply, making it useful even during power outages. Its steamless design also makes it safe for homes with children or pets. It can keep water above 70°C for a long time, so hot water boiled in the morning can last until evening.
The Zojirushi "STAN." series is also a good choice. It’s a compact 1.2L size with a relatively quick boiling time of 5 minutes and 41 seconds. It’s recommended for singles or small families. Its simple design also leaves a good impression.
Panasonic’s microcomputer boiling jar kettle is ideal for those prioritizing boiling speed. It boils 1L in just 10 minutes and 16 seconds, which is very handy during busy mornings. However, since the steam is hot, caution is needed.
If budget is a concern, the Comfee' electric kettle is a good option. Despite costing around 5,990 yen, it offers stable heat retention and has four temperature settings. It also features a hot water lock for safety.
Peacock Thermos Industry’s products are characterized by their extremely fast boiling speed. It boils in 7 minutes and 10 seconds, making it suitable for speed-focused users. However, it doesn’t have temperature control, so it’s best for those who prefer simple functions.
Ultimately, I think the best choice depends on the number of family members and usage patterns. Since it’s used daily, finding a kettle that fits your lifestyle is crucial. Whether you prioritize safety, heat retention, or boiling speed will influence which model is best for you.
