Moeller’s appointment marks a significant organizational shift for the multinational firm. In his remarks, he acknowledged Taylor’s seven years of stewardship at the helm, praising the outgoing leader for orchestrating major portfolio restructuring and driving organizational transformation. “David’s commitment to balanced growth and modernization has positioned us well,” Moeller noted, emphasizing continuity in P&G’s strategic direction.

A Veteran’s Ascent: Jon R. Moeller’s Two-Decade Career at P&G

Jon R. Moeller brings formidable experience to his expanded leadership role. Having joined the company in 1988, Moeller has spent more than two decades embedded in P&G’s senior management ranks. Prior to his elevation to CEO in 2021, he held the position of Chief Operating Officer, managing profit and loss responsibilities across the Enterprise Markets division—spanning Latin America, India, the Middle East, Africa, Southeast Asia, and Eastern Europe. Before that, Moeller served as Chief Financial Officer for over 12 years, overseeing financial strategy and operations. Throughout his career, he has been instrumental in shaping multiple business functions, including Investor Relations, Information Technology, Global Business Services, and supply chain operations.

Board Leadership and Organizational Adjustments

In parallel with Moeller’s appointment, the Board of Directors reaffirmed Joseph Jimenez as Lead Director, underscoring the governance structure surrounding the newly consolidated leadership. Taylor, who previously served as CEO from 2015 until 2021 before transitioning to Executive Chairman, provided strategic guidance to the leadership team during the organizational transformation that reshaped P&G’s portfolio and operational model.
