(Giga Retail, 6808.HK), issued a notice on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange stating that the company’s board of directors has learned that the company is temporarily unable to contact Executive Director and CEO Li Weiping.

The announcement states that as of the date of this notice, to the best of the directors’ knowledge, information, and belief, this matter is unrelated to the group’s business and operations. In view of this, the board believes that this matter has no significant adverse impact on the group, and the group’s business and operations remain normal. Recently, there have been reports that Giga Retail’s CEO Li Weiping was taken away by the police for assistance in an investigation and has not appeared at the company since last Friday.
