Charles Schwab: The Federal Reserve is expected to maintain its data-driven policy until May 2026

Mars Finance reports that, according to Jintou, Richard Flain, Managing Director of Charles Schwab UK, stated in a report that unless there is a substantial change in inflation or labor market dynamics, the Federal Reserve is likely to maintain its data-driven approach at least until May 2026. He said this is an unusual period for U.S. monetary policy, and the tug-of-war between monetary independence and fiscal authority has made the Federal Reserve’s institutional credibility a more acute focus.
