【Chain Wen】At the forum held in Davos, Switzerland, Binance founder Zhao Changpeng shared his latest career shift. He candidly admitted that after a high-intensity entrepreneurial journey, he no longer has the energy to start new projects from scratch, and his current focus is mainly on investment.
More interestingly, Zhao Changpeng mentioned the change in the US attitude towards the crypto industry. He believes this shift is of significant symbolic importance — the policy orientation of a top-tier power like the United States often influences other regions in the Western world to follow suit. Driven by the improved attitude in the US, countries like Thailand and several Central Asian nations are also beginning to adjust their views on crypto assets.
He specifically highlighted the progress in the United Arab Emirates, where he has resided for a long time. Two months ago, the UAE issued Binance a license covering almost all of its global operations, including futures trading. This indicates a clear increase in the acceptance of the crypto industry across different regions, with regulatory frameworks gradually being improved.

CZ has really gotten older, the enthusiasm for starting from scratch is gone... But on the other hand, investing is definitely much easier than surfing on your own.

CZ says he's tired and wants to shift investments. The logic is actually that—centralized platforms have already dominated, and now it's time to capitalize on the ecosystem dividends. When the US changes its stance, other countries follow suit by issuing licenses. It looks like decentralization, but in reality, it's still a transfer of power centers; the mechanism hasn't changed.

CZ has really aged, going from a startup fanatic to an investor... But on the other hand, the U.S. attitude has shifted, and the global follow-the-leader logic is quite real. The rapid increase in regulatory friendliness is indeed a signal.
