Look at this wave of Trove; the signal was actually there in the distribution of chips long ago. By the time a bunch of people chased, the K-line was already in the 80+ overbought zone, a typical rookie mistake... But honestly, these kinds of rugs can be uncovered on-chain; it just depends on who is willing to spend 5 minutes checking the contract lock-up periods and developer addresses. From a probabilistic strategy perspective, the more fully the risk is released, the better. Conversely, projects that seem too "perfect" are more worth being cautious about.
