Today, there is shocking news that Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell is under investigation for potential criminal charges. The U.S. Department of Justice has issued a grand jury subpoena to the Federal Reserve, which means things might really get serious next. In response, Powell expressed anger and criticized this as an interference with the independence of the Federal Reserve. We all know that before Trump took office, he started criticizing Powell for not cutting interest rates enough, which led to high government debt interest payments, and even threatened to replace him. Therefore, these criminal charges against Powell personally are indeed hard to imagine, and it's no wonder that Powell made a rare public statement.
Of course, given Trump's personality, he still dares to do and say what he wants. His stance on this matter is "not aware," perhaps he truly doesn't know? Who knows? Additionally, Trump did something outrageous—he publicly labeled himself as the "de facto president of Venezuela" on social media. I can only say this might be the most "direct" U.S. president in history. Although invading Venezuela is a barbaric act, they didn't even bother to pretend otherwise. In terms of personal charisma, honestly, this old man is indeed a bit different; he has shown us some of the most genuine things in the world.
I have always believed that the direction of this world is determined by some top-tier intelligent people, like Elon Musk. What he does, besides creating enormous business value, is also leading the future of humanity. SpaceX, robotics, autonomous driving—these are all very cool things and will influence the future of mankind.
