There is an odd phenomenon in the charity sector: large donations often end up in mysterious places. Media have exposed some donation projects, with donor lists duplicated in databases, and recipient schools already deregistered... All signs point to the same fundamental issue—lack of a transparent oversight mechanism.

This is precisely why some say that the biggest enemy of charity is not a lack of funds, but the black box of fund allocation. When donation processes are not publicly recorded, malicious actors naturally have opportunities to exploit.

Blockchain happens to be able to solve this pain point. By recording the flow of charitable funds on the chain, every transaction is traceable, tamper-proof, and open to everyone. This not only makes the flow of donations transparent and verifiable but also helps the groups in genuine need gain more trust and support.

This may be one of the most meaningful applications of blockchain in real society.
