#钱包安全事件 Trust Wallet has encountered issues again. The vulnerability in version 2.68 of the browser plugin has already led to over $6 million being stolen, affecting hundreds of users. This wallet has 17 million monthly active users and a market share of 35%. Such a large impact from a single vulnerability is indeed quite alarming.

However, after reading the news, I realized that vulnerabilities in official plugin wallets are actually quite rare. The real culprits are counterfeit software and phishing attacks. Major wallets like MetaMask, Phantom, and Trust Wallet have all been impersonated before. These incidents continue to occur frequently in 2025, especially with multiple cases appearing in the Firefox Add-ons store.

So the key point is: don't be greedy and download wallets from unknown sources. Always install from official channels like the Chrome Web Store. Otherwise, even the most secure official version can't save you, because the risk isn't in the wallet itself but in whether you're downloading the genuine one. Essentially, this is an unpredictable social engineering attack, and you need to stay vigilant.
