The latest move by the X platform has attracted attention within the community—support for directly purchasing tokens through the $ tag is about to go live. Solana officially announced its integration into this system first.

Once the news broke, many began to speculate whether this could be another turning point for the crypto ecosystem to enter the mainstream. The 2026 bull market may be driven by such innovations to boost growth.

However, based on historical experience, we shouldn't be too optimistic. Remember the popular Blinks in the first half of 2024? At that time, major companies all wanted to follow the trend and launch similar features. But only a few wallet plugins persisted, and the hype quickly faded. Back then, to buy coins directly on Twitter, you had to install a browser plugin.

The key issue is, who still uses a computer to browse Twitter now? Most people have already shifted to mobile. This is the crux of why Blinks failed to gain traction—the compatibility on mobile devices has always been a hurdle.

This time, X's move is indeed more aggressive. According to screenshots leaked by X product head Nikitabier, support has been extended not only to Solana but also to Base and Ethereum.

So, the question is: will other public chains follow suit? By the way, when Elon Musk acquired Twitter, CZ provided significant financial support. Does this mean BNB Chain might have the opportunity to establish deeper cooperation with X in the future? For now, this remains an open question.

Blinks' approach has long been outdated. Will it work this time? It still depends on how well the mobile version is adapted.

Blinks really pulled it off last time, and now they're doing it again? Will it work on mobile? That's the question.

Blinks' lesson is still vivid in my mind. Can this time really break the deadlock? I remain skeptical. --- Another year, another new concept. Let's wait and see. --- Why haven't you added BNB yet? CZ needs to work harder. --- Is the mobile version ready? That's the real issue. --- SOL is taking the lead, followed closely by Base and ETH. Just waiting for the rug pull. --- Mobile compatibility can't be sorted out. No matter how aggressive, it's useless. --- Basically, they want us to one-click all-in on our phones, constantly刷屏 on Twitter buying coins. --- 2026? I think we should survive 2025 first. --- Why is BNB still not listed? Is there a story behind it? --- Here we go again. History always repeats itself.

I didn't install Blinks, I feel it's just another round of cutting leeks for profit, and this time it's probably the same.

I still remember that show Blinks, installing plugins until it was annoying. If this time it really allows buying coins directly with a phone, that might be the real deal.
