We are optimistic about the development potential and wealth effects of AI, but we cannot ignore the employment impact and risks it brings. These issues must be brought to the table for discussion, rather than pretending not to see them just to cater to investors. A truly rational attitude should be to bet on technological progress while also acknowledging the possible social consequences it may cause.

The impact on employment is really unavoidable; someone has to dare to speak out. You can't just ape in and pretend not to see.
