Why is the Web3 storage field so popular? Taking recently attention-grabbing storage projects as an example, it's actually not hard to understand. As long as you grasp three core principles—how to make money, why tokens are valuable, and how to participate in dividends—you can quickly get started whether you want to store data, operate nodes, or simply hold tokens for appreciation.

**First question: Where does the project’s money come from?**

Simply put: users pay for storing data. Whether individuals upload files or enterprises store large amounts of data, they need to pay storage and retrieval fees with tokens, settled based on data volume and storage duration. This logic is similar to renting a cloud drive, with the difference that here, encrypted tokens are used, and the fees are periodically distributed to network nodes and stakers. As a result, the fees paid by users are not only platform revenue but also help drive the entire ecosystem—your spending ultimately becomes the earnings of participants.

**Second question: Why are tokens worth holding long-term?**

This involves two mechanisms. First, tokens have a deflationary property. Part of the storage fees paid by users are burned, continuously reducing the circulating supply and naturally increasing scarcity. Second, staking can generate cash flow. You can operate your own storage node or delegate tokens to trusted node operators; both methods allow participation in storage fee sharing, with annualized yields that are quite attractive.

This is why both token holders and node operators can profit—creating a healthy economic cycle.
