Many people enter the market hoping to get rich overnight or rely on intuition to chase highs and buy the dip, but the result is often losing money and being forced out. In reality, the hardest part of investing is not choosing the right coins, but managing your own mindset.

My simple experience is: keep your position allocation stable, and your mindset will naturally stay calm. No need for frequent trading or constantly watching the market; just let your holdings sit there. Over time, you'll find that those seemingly small gains accumulate gradually, growing like a snowball. This is the true power of compound interest.

Don't fantasize about sudden surges; patiently waiting is actually more likely to bring profits.

That's right, the mindset is really the hurdle that most people can't get past.

That's so true. Getting rich overnight is just a dream; the real earners are actually those who don't fuss around.

nah, most people completely ignore the empirical data on position sizing. if you actually ran a regression analysis on long-term hodlers vs. frequent traders, you'd see the correlation matrix tells a pretty brutal story. compound returns aren't magic, it's just... basic stochastic processes working in your favor over time.

Really speaking, most people just can't keep their mindset steady, always thinking about going all-in to turn things around, but end up getting harvested instead. Most of us actually just lack patience, insisting on watching the K-line second by second, torturing ourselves. I truly understand now; I was like that before, and only later did I realize that a stable allocation can really save you trouble.

That's so true. I am part of the group that was ruined by frequent trading. If I had known earlier, I would have traded less. Now I finally understand what it really means to make money.

That's true, but most people can't listen.

Exactly right, I used to be the kind of person who constantly watched the market and chased highs, only to get beaten up. Now I just leave it alone, and I sleep better.
