Today is not about showing off any returns; it's just that I see too many newbies falling into traps, and I can't help but say a few words.

Recently, a trading novice came to me. In three months, he was liquidated twice, losing 8,000 USDT directly. He was confused—can contracts really make money? Why does he keep losing?

I've heard these questions many times. Ultimately, it boils down to one sentence: contracts are fundamentally a risk game. Those who make money rely on risk control and predicting expected profits. If you don't understand this point, no matter how much you tinker, it's all futile.

Don't obsess over how to read candlesticks or how to use moving averages, and don't always think about manipulators controlling the market. These are not the keys to making money. The real factor that determines life or death is: how deep is your understanding of risk? How you perceive risk, how you control risk, and what proportion of your capital you risk—at the core, it's about how to survive in this market.

So where does the excess return come from? When the price of a coin doubles, spot trading can earn 100%. With 3x leverage, you earn 300%. Who gets the extra 200%? It's the money lost by those who get liquidated. To earn this money, the prerequisite is that you don't get cut.

Most people enter contracts aiming for overnight riches. Those who actually make money only have one thought in mind—survive. When spot positions are trapped, you can wait for a rebound; for contracts...

That's really heartbreaking. Losing 8000 must be so painful... I've also seen too many people who want to get rich quickly with contracts right from the start, only to end up in the red after three months. I need to remember this—those who truly make money are just trying to survive, everything else is nonsense.

That was a bit harsh, but it really hits home. Losing 8,000 is a vivid lesson. The logic isn't wrong; leverage is just turning others' losses into your gains. If you want to enjoy it, you need to know how to cut losses. The key is to have a sense of reverence; too many people don't take risks seriously at all. Surviving is much harder than making quick money—that's the real truth.

Amazing, essentially it's a zero-sum game, nothing mysterious about it.

Basically, it's a mindset issue. Beginners all want to go all-in and turn things around, not realizing that the experienced guys have already calculated the risks. Honestly, I've seen too many small accounts wiped out by contracts. It's a pity. Controlling risk is truly the way to survive; the greedy ones are gone.

Damn, this is the truth. Most people are just greedily getting cut. --- Keep going... That's too extreme, but that's really how it is. --- I just want to ask, those who shout about doubling their money every day, why haven't I seen anyone make it to the end? --- Risk management? Ha, most people can't even keep track of their own holdings. --- Leverage 3x to earn 300%, then blow up again, cycle after cycle, everyone. --- After hearing so much motivational talk, this one hits hard. --- Contracts are just a weed cutter, let's not deceive ourselves anymore. --- Basically, it's gambling, just with a different name called contracts. --- Keep going... Earning 30% a month is more realistic, but unfortunately, not many people believe it. --- Lost 8,000 directly, this guy should be thankful he didn't play more.
