Recently, Japan's economic data has started to stir. According to multiple Nikkei media analyses, Japan's December inflation exceeded expectations by a large margin, marking the 20th consecutive month to stay above the 2% target line. More importantly, Bank of Japan Governor Ueda Kazuo has previously indicated that early 2026 will be an important milestone for assessing the long-term interest rate policy — in other words, the probability of central bank action is increasing.

There is a hidden risk worth noting. Over the weekend, global stock and bond markets were mostly closed, but the cryptocurrency market did not rest, operating 24/7 as usual. If the Bank of Japan actually takes action next Monday, historical patterns suggest that cryptocurrencies, due to their liquidity and ease of quick liquidation, are often the first to be hit with sell-offs to cover margin calls on risk assets. The "Black Weekend" combined with a shift in central bank policy is a combination to watch out for.

Black Weekend really can't hold up anymore. If the central bank moves next Monday, the crypto circle will be in for a shock. Wait, does this mean we have to take the hit? Never mind, I'll just go to sleep. Ueda Kazuo has been holding this move for so long, finally he's about to play his hand. The price of coins is going to be hammered, huh? I'm already numb about it. 20 consecutive months below 2%, is the Bank of Japan really going to go all out this time? I bet five bucks it'll crash next Monday. It feels like a breakthrough is coming. This round of liquidity tightening isn't that simple. Black Weekend + central bank pivot, I've seen this combo too many times. Every time, the crypto market is the first to die. If the Bank of Japan really raises interest rates, the crypto sector will probably suffer a heavy blow. Sleep through the weekend, watch the slaughter on Monday—I've seen this script too many times. Damn, we're about to get harvested again. Ueda Kazuo's move is really ruthless.

Next Monday needs close attention. When the Bank of Japan really moves, the crypto sector gets hit first.
