The stupidest thing I've ever done is start to get cocky after making a little money. After doubling my account from the principal, I got carried away and threw everything in without looking at anything. I chose a unfamiliar coin, didn't even thoroughly research the fundamentals, and directly used over $8,000 in my account balance to open a 10x full-margin position with $7,000.

And the result? The market only dropped a little, but my available margin was already exhausted. There was no room for maneuver at all, and my operational space was completely locked down. Those days were really tough—I held the position for two days, and finally, I couldn't take it anymore and cut my losses.

Just looking at the data shows how reckless I was: over $5,000 in unrealized gains, but I forced it back down to less than $1,000. A hefty lesson learned. But honestly, trading profit for this lesson was actually pretty worth it. Looking back at that period of operation, there are only two words: greed. This time really woke me up.

This is a typical self-punishment trade. After doubling, the mind goes offline. I've done it too... The 10x full position move is really a gamble for your life. It’s most dangerous when everything seems to be going smoothly. A retracement from 5000 to 1000 is a hard lesson, but as long as you survive, there's still a chance.

Ha, full position with ten times leverage, I really respect it. This is the gambler's mentality. Really, once I make money, my brain stops working. I've been there too. Cutting losses of over 5000, it hurts, but it's better than liquidation. Will I repeat the same mistake next time? Honestly, I think I will. This is the fate of retail investors. Once there's some profit, they get carried away. I've paid quite a bit in tuition fees, but I can't seem to change this bad habit.

This is a typical case of earning two bucks and then going to mine with a pickaxe, only to get buried directly...

A typical get-rich-quick mentality, their mind is really messed up.

This is a typical vicious cycle of making money and then getting carried away, 10x full leverage... Bro, you really dare to do it. Handing your profits away yourself, experiencing what it feels like to be on the edge of a margin call. $5000 instantly evaporated... This tuition fee is really damn expensive, but it definitely teaches you a lesson. So, the biggest risk in making money isn't a bad market, but reckless thinking. Using 10x leverage with full position, this isn't trading, it's gambling. If I could hold on for two days, I would be impressed; if it were me, I would have already collapsed.

This is the consequence of getting carried away after making some money; full-position leverage is simply a suicidal move.

10x full position leverage, that's really asking for trouble.

That's why I now feel nauseous whenever I see full leverage positions.

That's why I call it the Regret Machine... This is the outcome of full-margin leverage. 10x full margin is outrageous; throwing money in without even looking at the fundamentals, this kind of operation is just one drop away from liquidation. A floating profit of 5000 is wiped out to 1000, indeed a costly lesson. Making a little profit and getting cocky—that's probably the most common way to die in our circle. But it's already good that you can recognize the problem; many people simply can't wake up.
