Wu said that a netizen, who loved the cartoon character "Line Dog," was flagged by the bank's risk control system when transferring 250 yuan pocket money to her husband via China Construction Bank with the note "This week's Dogecoin." Her account was set to "no deposit no withdrawal" status and is under review.

Bank staff stated that if the transfer note involves words like "Dogecoin," proof materials must be provided to demonstrate no relation to virtual currencies. However, bank transaction records alone are difficult to serve as valid proof. Such accounts may generally not be unblocked and can only be closed. Currently, the involved party has submitted bank statements and a handwritten commitment letter to request lifting the restrictions. Bank branches have inconsistent responses; some say that submitting a marriage certificate can be used to apply for unblocking.
