Top-tier crypto investors just dropped their predictions for what builders should focus on next year. These aren't random guesses—we're talking about folks who've been in the trenches, watching patterns emerge across DeFi protocols, infrastructure plays, and consumer apps.
What's fascinating? The consensus isn't about chasing the next memecoin rally. Instead, they're zeroing in on unsexy but critical problems: scalability bottlenecks, user experience friction, and real-world integration gaps. One investor even pointed out that 2026 might be the year when "crypto finally stops talking to itself."
The first batch of predictions is out, and honestly, some takes are spicy. Are we really ready for what they're suggesting? What problems do YOU think deserve more attention from builders?

ngl, UX has indeed been neglected for too long. People talk about technical indicators every day but no one actually uses them.

Haha, "crypto finally stops talking to itself," that really hits the sore spot... We are indeed just hyping ourselves up in an echo chamber all day.
The UX experience is really a big problem. Users come in, get overwhelmed by all the operations, and are discouraged from continuing. Improving this is way more important than creating new coins.
Seriously? Are these big shots' predictions reliable... Every year they say scalability will be solved, but they're still saying it now.
If by 2026 it can really be accessible to ordinary people, that would be great. Right now it's still just insiders playing.
Speaking of real-world integration, builders are still way too conservative here. Someone really needs to push these boundaries.

ngl, looking at these experts' predictions, there's actually some substance here—finally it's not just a bunch of people hyping up memecoins.
This time really does feel a bit different. UX friction is definitely a pain point; people complain every day about how complicated wallets are to use.
"crypto finally stops talking to itself" 😅 really hit home for me. We do need to truly break out of the echo chamber.

We've been talking about the scalability bottleneck for so many years and it's still an issue. When will we actually break through?

Sounds good, but honestly I'm more concerned about when gas fees will go down... everything else is just talk.

The real-world integration gap has definitely been ignored for too long. Feels like everyone is busy speculating instead of building.
