[Crypto World] Heard Cardano is about to make a big move? This time, they’re not switching eras—they’re upgrading directly to protocol version 11 within Conway. An intra-era hard fork sounds pretty solid—no system upheaval, but it shores up key weaknesses in security, Plutus smart contracts, and on-chain governance.
So, what exactly are they doing? On the Plutus side, it’ll be compatible with versions V1 through V3, plus new support for arrays and multi-asset features, and list operations are much faster now. After updating the UPLC case expressions, performance looks set to reach a new level. As for the ledger, they’re going even further—enforcing unique VRF keys, revising Plutus rules, and moving governance voting logic directly into the ledger layer. With these changes, protocol security is looking rock-solid.
The proposal is currently under public review, and both Intersect and the hard fork working group have voiced support. Before going live on mainnet, community feedback will likely determine whether any final tweaks are needed.

Synchronous hard fork sounds good, but can Plutus really run properly? We'll have to see how it performs on the mainnet.

ADA is gearing up for a big move again. This time, the upgrade sounds reliable, and they're finally going to address the gap in governance.

Another round of upgrades? I'm numb to it... Last time it was about fixing bugs, this time it's security. Next time, are you going to fix my losses? Haha

ADA is trying something new again. Will they really be able to get Plutus running smoothly this time? None of the previous promises have been fulfilled.

Cardano is at it again, and this time the concurrent hard fork sounds promising: Plutus V3 compatibility, performance improvements, on-chain governance... It finally feels like they're addressing their shortcomings. The only question is when it will actually launch on the mainnet, given this lengthy review process...
Cardano protocol version 11 is coming? Simultaneous hard fork upgrade for smart contracts and governance
