U.S. economic officials declare next year a "golden year," Fed rate cut expectations heat up again

Abstract generation in progress

[Blockchain News] The Director of the U.S. National Economic Council, Hassett, recently made a bold statement—he said next year will be a “golden year in economic history,” unless some black swan event occurs.

This guy has quite an appetite, saying that if next year’s GDP growth in Q1 and Q2 is only 3%, he would be disappointed. According to him, pushing it up by another percentage point is no problem at all.

More importantly, he also mentioned the possibility of the Fed cutting interest rates next week. “Now is exactly the right time for the Fed to cautiously cut rates again”—doesn’t that sound familiar? The market has been betting on this for a while.

To be honest, if these expectations do come true, it will definitely be a positive for risk assets. After all, the combination of rate cuts and economic growth has always been the most favored script for capital. It all depends on whether the actual data can live up to these bold claims.

Black swans are flying all over the sky, and they are still blowing the "golden year" here... I really dare to say it

The black swan said it so casually, this is leaving a way out for itself. Interest rate cuts + growth sound cool, but do you dare to keep up with the data?

Golden year? Rate cuts? Hold on, what about black swans? Feels like that term gets thrown around way too casually. Again with the disappointment at 3% and acting like 4% is nothing... So, the economy is really that solid? I have my doubts. Rate cuts plus growth sounds great, but can the actual data back up the talk? Big promises are all just on paper—the last thing the crypto world needs is expectations clashing with reality. This rate cut narrative is old news; who knows how long risk assets can keep rallying.

The term "black swan" sounds casual, but when it really happens, no one can stop it. Anyone can tell a good-sounding story.

When a black swan event occurs, dreams of a golden year are shattered. This kind of talk is sounding more and more familiar.
