Staring at candlestick charts won't make the price skyrocket.

Honestly, obsessively watching the market every day is pretty useless.

Just buy and leave it there, then go do your own thing. Go out and have fun, take a nap, find something else to enjoy.

Think about it: if you bought some Bitcoin before 2017 and then ended up away for 8 years without managing it at all, now you check your account—

How awesome would that feel?

Sometimes, forgetting about it is actually the best strategy. The market will give you the answer on its own; staring at it until your eyes hurt won’t change the trend. The ones who really make money are often those who buy and then don’t check it again.

I fucking knew this would happen. How are the people who watch the market every day doing now? They've long since gone numb.

Ironically, historical data shows that accounts with truly active trading actually have lower average returns, but who would believe that? This narrative comes up every cycle; people said the same thing during the 2017 wave—so what happened? Not watching the market is indeed comfortable, but only if you bought at the bottom, otherwise you're just fooling yourself. How many people who HODLed since 2017 haven't panic sold at some high point out of despair? Don't make up stories just because you haven't experienced it. Those who really make money never brag about it; instead, they quietly count their profits.

Haha, that's so true. I'm exactly the type who falls asleep right after buying and only checks it after waking up.

Haha, it's true. I'm a textbook example of what not to do—watching the charts every day has made me numb.

That's right, that's exactly how I got stuck. Watching the market every day has left me numb.

Haha, you're absolutely right, that's exactly what I did. Now my eyes are strained and I haven't made a single extra cent.

Honestly, watching the market all day is pure self-torture—might as well go have some fun.

You're absolutely right, but I still wake up at 4am every day to check the charts. This is what you call conviction. Damn it, I just want to know why the coin I went all in to catch the bottom on just refuses to break out. The bears must be messing around, for sure. But honestly, I've heard what you said so many times. Every time I say, "Okay, okay, I'll go to sleep," but then I still get up in the middle of the night to add to my position. This is the last time. This time I'm really going to hold and not move.

That's right, watching the charts is really just self-torture. I don't believe anyone can change the price by staring at the candlesticks—might as well just go to sleep.

I think just leave it like this. Once you've bought it, stop watching it, seriously.
