There are a few classic typo memes in the crypto community that have now become cultural symbols.

The earliest, HODL, originated on a Bitcoin forum when someone got drunk and typed "hodl" instead of "hold." The whole community started using it to mean "hold and never sell."

Later, the tech crowd in Ethereum came up with a variation—Buidl, intentionally misspelling "build" to imply "less talk, more action; focus on building."

Then there’s the Safu meme, which comes from CZ’s catchy phrase "Funds are safu." "Safe" was typed as "safu," and it turned out to be even more memorable. Now whenever people talk about fund security, they love using this word.

Recently, another one called DOYR has popped up, reportedly from a leading female figure in the space. In this community, typo culture is no longer just about typing errors—it’s more like a secret code for identity.

HODL should have been rebranded long ago. Now, the people who still use it think they're insiders, which is a bit awkward.

I’ve heard the story of hodl so many times, but every time it amazes me—getting drunk and making a typo that turns into a symbol of faith. Buidl is even more hardcore, intentionally playing with wordplay, basically saying stop talking and just quietly make a fortune. Safu is absolutely iconic. Once CZ made that legendary statement, now everyone dares to say “funds are safu,” haha. --- This typo culture is basically the secret code of the community—a must-learn for anyone entering the space. --- Wait, I still don’t really get the doyr joke. --- LOL, what’s the next typo culture going to be? I bet on shib. --- This is why I love this space—it’s all about the culture and heritage, haha.

Haha, from HODL to Buidl to Safu, these are our cultural codes. Only in the crypto space can a typo become a classic. These typo memes may seem accidental, but they actually hint at an attitude—we're just different. I haven't quite gotten the hang of this new meme DOYR yet. Which talented queen came up with it? It feels like in the future, newcomers to the space would be embarrassed to introduce themselves if they don't know how to say HODL—it's already become a rite of passage.

That HODL wave was truly epic—got drunk, made a typo, and it turned into a belief. That’s the romance of Web3. Safu is also legendary. CZ’s one "magical" comment directly rewrote the ecosystem’s lingo. Who even says "safe" anymore? There are tons of typo memes. The key is whether you have the charisma to shout them out, otherwise it’s just clumsy typing. With so many secret codes, no wonder newcomers are confused when entering the space—you have to learn a set of typo passwords first. Buidl really impresses me; it weaves "do more, talk less" into it, and gives it more flavor than the regular "build."

Haha, that hodl wave became a classic, drunk inspiration really is the strongest creativity. The word "safu" is definitely epic, CZ said it once and the whole community followed, now it's become a catchphrase. Buidl is my favorite, it has that vibe, a declaration for the doers. Even typo memes have come alive, that's the culture of this community. I haven't used DYOR yet, need to look into what it means. There are more and more insider terms in the community, newcomers need to study a dictionary now.

Still using hodl to this day, that's real culture, haha. At first, I really didn't get the whole buidl thing, but later I realized it's dissing those who just talk and don't take action. Safu is legendary—CZ changed the entire slang of the community with just one sentence. I still haven't figured out what doyr means, can someone explain it to me? The typo memes are really just a sense of belonging—those who get it, get it. These memes spread even faster than the correct terms, hilarious.

ngl these typos became unironically useful... actually if you track the social velocity of these memes, hodl had way better retention metrics than doyr tbh. correlation's prob higher with early adoption rates but whatever, still beats analyzing another rugpull

Haha, the HODL story is truly epic—a single drunken night changed the entire vocabulary of the community. A typo actually became a passport; only those who have really been in the scene understand these codes. Safu is still being used and never gets old; it just has a certain magic.

Haha, I’ve heard that HODL story countless times. It’s amazing how a drunken typo can become a cultural symbol. Buidl is more my style, now that’s a real code word. HODL is too mainstream. I have to complain about CZ’s “Safu”—puns are easy to remember, but how do people really believe their funds are actually safe? At the end of the day, typos like these are just inside jokes within the community—self-entertainment. Wait, what’s DOYR? I’m out of the loop here. These aren’t typos, they’re clearly secret codes—like a pass for people in the community. Safu is overused now, time for a new meme, everyone. Buidl is my favorite. It really reflects the spirit of those builders. I still prefer looking at charts. These cultural memes are too abstract.

Haha, that HODL wave was truly epic—a drunken typo turned into a belief. For Buidl, I have to say tech people really know how to play; the essence of building just came out instantly. Safu is really brainwashing; I can still recite that line from CZ to this day. Typos have instead become a pass, essential slang for anyone entering the space. As for DOYR, this new meme still needs some observation to see if it can survive this cycle.
