Jin10 Data reported on August 7, local time on August 6, the U.S. Department of Justice stated that an active-duty U.S. Army soldier stationed at Fort Bliss in Texas was arrested for allegedly attempting to transmit operational and vulnerability intelligence about the U.S. military’s “Abrams” main battle tank to the Russian government. The prosecution accused the suspect of having top-secret security clearance and attempting to provide an SD card containing classified technical data to what he believed to be Russian intelligence personnel in exchange for Russian citizenship, with some of the materials marked as “controlled unclassified information.”
