Gate News report: On April 1, the Ministry of Public Security dispatched a working group to successfully escort Li Xiong, a core member of the Chen Zhi criminal gang, from Phnom Penh, Cambodia, back to China. This is another major achievement from law enforcement cooperation between China and Cambodia. Li Xiong previously served as the chairman of the Huiwang Group, which is affiliated with the Prince Group. He is suspected of multiple crimes, including running a casino, fraud, illegal business operations, and concealing or disguising the proceeds of criminal activity. At present, Li Xiong has been taken compulsory measures according to law, and the related case is under further investigation. A relevant official with the Ministry of Public Security said that multiple other core members of the Chen Zhi criminal gang have been brought into custody one after another. Public security authorities will continue to increase their efforts, and will firmly capture and bring the fugitives to justice.
