Qualifications and Permissions
1. Who Can Apply to Become a Manager? Are There Any Qualifications or Asset Requirements?
Institutional clients with at least one month of live trading records on Gate (with a minimum monthly trading volume of 20 million) can apply to become a manager. For new clients, proof of trading volume from other exchanges and screenshots of past performance (at least 3 months) are required. There are no asset or qualification requirements.
2. What Documents Are Required to Apply as a Manager, and What Is the Processing Time?
Records of live trading performance on Gate, or proof of trading volume from other exchanges and screenshots of past performance.
3. If the Application Is Rejected, Can I Apply Again?
Yes. You can reapply by contacting the previous business representative again or by filling out the form again on the manager application page.
4. How Many Products Can a Manager Manage Simultaneously?
There is currently no limit.
Product Creation and Fundraising
5. Can a Product Be Revoked or Deleted After Creation?
A product cannot be revoked or deleted after creation. The manager can click [Liquidate and Terminate] on the product details page. This action will simultaneously close all spot and contract positions, transfer all assets to the spot account, and the product liquidation will be executed during the next valuation settlement.
6. Can the Investment Strategy Be Briefly Outlined at Creation and Detailed Later During Operation?
Yes. Product strategy, investment strategy, product manager, and minimum purchase amount can be modified while the product is running.
7. Is There a Maximum Subscription Amount for Investors?
There is currently no restrictions.
8. When Are Investor Subscriptions/Redemptions Confirmed? When Will the Funds Arrive?
Daily valuation settlement occurs at 08:30 (UTC), at which all subscription and redemption requests received since the last settlement are processed. Redemption proceeds are then paid out to investors at 07:00 (UTC) on the following business day (T+1).
9. Is There a Time Limit for the Product Fundraising Period? What Happens If the Target Amount Is Not Met?
The product is structured as a promoter-initiated fund, which has no designated fundraising period. Upon creation, the manager must subscribe to the product in the minimum purchase amount. Thus, the product enters the "Running" status immediately.
Investment and Trading
10. Can Product Funds Be Allocated Across Multiple Exchanges (Integrated with the CrossEx Function)?
After the CrossEx function is launched, transfers from the spot account to the cross-exchange account can be completed via APIs with cross-exchange trading read/write permissions enabled.
11. Can a Manager Pause Investment Operations for a Specific Product?
Currently not supported. Related features will be launched in the future.
12. Can Investors View Transaction Details in Real Time?
Currently not supported. Only the product's net asset value (NAV) per unit is disclosed to investors.
Operations and Maintenance Management
13. If the Product Manager Is Changed, How Will It Be Displayed on the Investors' Pages?
The new product manager will be displayed.
14. What Are the Consequences If the Manager Fails to Handle Net Redemptions Promptly?
If the manager fails to settle redemption proceeds by the due time, all investors who submitted redemption requests on day T will not receive their funds on the T+1 settlement date. In such cases, the platform will issue a reminder to the manager to process the pending redemptions promptly.
15. From Which Account Should Redemption Proceeds Be Paid Out? Is There a Time Limit?
Redemption proceeds must be paid out from the spot account. The settlement must be completed before 07:00 (UTC) on T+1.
16. How Often Is the Data on the Client Holdings Page Updated?
Updated daily after valuation settlement with the latest NAV, holding units, holding value, and PnL status.
Risk and Compliance
17. Does the Platform Impose Any Restrictions or Risk Controls on Manager Operations (e.g., Maximum Leverage, Maximum Position Size)?
There is currently no restrictions.
18. What Are the Respective Responsibilities of Investors and the Manager If the Product Incurs Losses?
Investors bear full responsibility for investment losses.
19. How Are Assets Settled and Returned to Investors During Product Liquidation?
Upon initiation of product liquidation, trading will be restricted: Futures trading is limited to closing or reducing positions, and only spot assets in non-settlement currencies can be sold. Once both of the following conditions are met, all remaining assets in the product account will be distributed to investors pro rata based on their holding units.
- All assets in the asset management product trading account are in spot USDT (or spot BTC for BTC-denominated funds), and there is no margin or open interest in the futures account.
- The product has no unpaid redemption proceeds.
After initiating product liquidation, the manager should complete the payment of redemption proceeds and closing of positions within 7 days.
Technology and Support
20. After the CrossEx Exchange Function Is Launched, Is Additional Binding of Exchange APIs Required?
No, it is not required.
21. Will the Original Subaccount Function Interfere with the Asset Management Product Function?
No. There is no impact.
22. What Are the Login and Access Permissions for the Manager Operation Backend?
Access to the manager operation backend uses the same login credentials as the main manager account. If credentials are forgotten or lost, please follow the account recovery process established for the main account.
23. Is There a Dedicated Customer Service or Operational Support Channel?
When applying to become a manager, a dedicated business representative will be assigned to assist you and provide support throughout the product usage process.
