Iranian Foreign Minister Calls for the Establishment of a "Collective Security Mechanism Free from U.S. Interference"

According to Iran’s Fars News Agency on the 26th, Iran’s Foreign Minister Alaraghzi called on regional countries to establish a “collective security mechanism free from U.S. intervention.” The report said that the same day, Alaraghzi made the remarks when meeting with Oman’s Sultan Haitham in Muscat, the capital of Oman. He said Iran’s experience shows that the U.S. military presence in regional countries would only lead to instability and division in the region. He urged regional countries to jointly build an autonomous collective security mechanism “without U.S. intervention.” ( Xinhua News Agency )
