Royal Unibrew and PepsiCo to end the partnership in Northern Europe upon expiry of current license agreements

Royal Unibrew and PepsiCo will end their licensing partnership in Denmark, Finland, and the Baltic states at the end of 2028, impacting approximately 13% of Royal Unibrew’s net revenue. Despite the partnership ending, Royal Unibrew’s multi-beverage strategy remains unchanged, focusing on accelerating growth in its own brands and exploring new partnership opportunities while maintaining an unchanged long-term organic EBIT growth target of 6-8%. The company expects to mitigate the financial impact through accelerating own brands, cost reductions, and potential new agreements, aiming for profitability to exceed 2028 levels by 2030, with an estimated transition cost of DKK 300m.
