South Africa Releases Draft Regulations for Cross-Border Cryptocurrency Assets

ME News Report, April 24 (UTC+8), the South African Ministry of Finance released a draft of the “2026 Capital Flow Management Regulations,” proposing suggestions to improve the regulatory framework for cross-border capital flows. Among them, it explicitly supplements regulatory provisions for cross-border cryptocurrency asset transactions and incorporates them into the overall capital flow management system to strengthen monitoring of high-risk transactions and combat illegal fund flows.
