Packaging manufacturer to close Richmond plant, lay off 110 workers

Packaging Corp. of America (PCA) announced it will close its Richmond, Virginia plant located at 2000 Richmond Highway, resulting in 110 layoffs. The facility, which produces corrugated boxes and packaging, is the company’s only full-line plant in the Richmond area. PCA plans for layoffs to take effect in June and will assist interested employees in finding positions at other PCA sites.
