Investors and Wall Street analysts are eagerly awaiting chip giant Nvidia’s (NVDA) annual GTC 4-day event, which begins on March 16, in San Jose. Ahead of the key event, top Cantor Fitzgerald analyst C.J. Muse reiterated a Buy rating on Nvidia stock with a price target of $300, saying that it remains a Top Pick. The analyst is upbeat about Nvidia’s GTC event and said, “We are on the cusp of regaining confidence.”

Here’s What Cantor Analyst Expects from Nvidia’s GTC Event
At the upcoming GTC event, Muse expects Nvidia to highlight how it is sustaining its dominance as “THE AI Infrastructure company” and setting the stage through a system-level approach to not only dominate AI training, but also AI inference. In this regard, the 5-star analyst expects Nvidia to throw light on its Groq technology, which is expected to be embedded in the Feynman platform with new LPX technology.
Additionally, Muse expects Nvidia to focus on other areas, including updates on its Vera Rubin platform, a standalone Vera CPU launch, and the co-packaged optics (CPO) ramp. The analyst also expects Nvidia to provide updates on the backlog and visibility into 2027, where he believes that the company is sold out for 2026.
With regard to end-demand, Muse believes that focus will be on commentary about the sustainability of high capital spending by hyperscalers in 2027 and beyond. The analyst expects CEO Jensen Huang to provide a very bullish outlook on token demand, led by Agentic AI, “where Compute equals revenue/GDP in an environment where Compute is SOLD OUT.”
Meanwhile, Muse noted that currently, NVDA stock is trading at only 15x his expected $12 earnings per share (EPS) estimate for calendar year 2027 (now including stock-based compensation). Given the positives, he expects Nvidia shares to move higher. “Whether they will or not – hard to say, with the market squarely focused on evidence that 2027 is a growth year,” concluded Muse.
Muse ranks no. 15 among more than 12,100 analysts on TipRanks. He has a success rate of 72%, with an average return per rating of 61% over a one-year period.
Is NVDA Stock a Buy, Sell, or Hold?
Given the solid demand for its AI GPUs (graphics processing units), Nvidia stock scores a Strong Buy consensus rating, with 38 Buys versus only one Hold rating. The average NVDA stock price target of $273.61 indicates 52% upside potential.
