Honda Motor Company’s HMC -5.27% ▼ shares continued to falter early Friday as the Japanese automaker brace for a 2.5 trillion yen ($15.7 billion) charge in restructuring costs for its electric vehicle business. Honda is also expecting its first annual loss in nearly 70 years, even as it writes down the value of its Chinese assets and looks to shelve certain EV models planned for production in the U.S. and across North America.
