TechFlow News - On March 13, according to Decrypt, the European law enforcement agency and the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) jointly launched an enforcement operation codenamed "Operation Lightning" on March 11, successfully dismantling the malicious proxy service "SocksEscort" and freezing 3.5 million dollars in cryptocurrency related to the case.



It is reported that the network has infected over 369,000 routers and IoT devices across 163 countries worldwide, and provided users with over 35,000 proxy nodes. The law enforcement agencies seized a total of 34 domains and 23 servers, with the payment platform involved estimated to have collected over 5.7 million dollars in cryptocurrency (approximately 5 million euros).
