On February 4th, the spot price of imported Russian thermal coal remained stable to slightly weak. Terminal users are in the final stages of pre-holiday stocking, and traders are not highly motivated to purchase and sell at lower prices due to downstream pressure. Currently, the market inquiry volume is relatively low. The Q5500 Russian coal bottom-of-hold price in Jiangsu area is 720 yuan/ton. The forward spot price of Russian thermal coal remains weak to stable. Some mines have suspended quotations for the Chinese market, and buyers’ acceptance of high-priced cargoes is limited, resulting in few actual transactions in the market. The current CFR quotation for Q5500 Panama ship is $79/ton, and for Q4600 Panama ship is $64/ton. (My Steel Network)
